What's under the shower seat (Carver Mariner 350)

Postby amanphoto » July 30th, 2017, 10:34 pm

I have a question.... or more like wondering. I was sitting in my Carver Mariner 350 (1999) and I was looking at the layout. From what I can surmise, there is nothing under the shower seat. It seams like a lot of wasted space. or is there some thing tucked under there that I don't know about. Please enlighten me.

Thanks

I have the same area under my shower seat too on my 3007 Aft Cabin. Next time I am at the boat I will look and see if there is any access to that "empty" area.

Just a guess here, I think the seats are molded in there because it is the side of the boat and without the shape of the seat it would be too much slope to be safe as a shower.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

That's where the Retroencabulator is located. Carver uses a smaller version of the Rockwell model:

I have looked everywhere on my boat and I cannot find the turbo encabulator, but it seems to run just fine. Any ideas?

Yeah mine fell overboard, having a very hard time finding another one. Tried amazon and eBay with no luck. Any suggestions? :)

It's NOS from a Chrysler dealer. The guy's in the "turbo Encabulator" video where actually Chrysler technical trainers -- with a good sense of humor!

The most logical response yet. Probably why the seat is there.
