My first Carver

Postby Taylormaid » July 2nd, 2019, 11:17 am

Hello a i just purchased a 98 carver mariner 350. First time I’ve owned a carver and am happy so far. If anyone knows where i can get the oem Bimini i would really appreciate the help. Previous owner somehow lost just the top to the bridge enclosure. Glad to find a site with lots of info.

Welcome aboard.

Like g36 said, get a marine canvas shop to measure up and fabricate a new one. The chances of finding a new OEM one somewhere will be slim. Best to go custom anyway in case someone changed something over the years that would render an OEM one if not useless, requiring some mods anyway.

She's looking good

Welcome to the Club! I currently have a 350 Mariner and LOVE the boat. She will never race a Formula boat to the dock, but will an AWESOME ride, with LOADS of space for family and friends!

I agree with everyone else, have one made, it won't cost you any more/less then if Carver actually had one on the shelf, AND I have seen a LOT of cool custom idea's come from some of the canvas guys out there. So with any kind of luck, you can end up with something better than what carver initially put out there.

Enjoy and BOOKMARK this group as they will be your very best friend if you have a question!

Great boat! I transitioned from an Express style to a Mariner and could not be happier. The room and comfort far exceed the need to get to a destination 15 min faster. Carver Marine Tops made my bridge enclosure, different company from Carver Yachts. I will get the phone number for you today and send tomorrow, it is stitched into the aft window. BUT, it is better to have one custom made, maybe put a moon roof over the helm. Finally, look around all the nooks and crannies of the vessel. Maybe the PO stored it and forgot where it is. Good luck! 8-) er
