Griptide……..UGH!!!!!

Postby tonyiiiafl » May 22nd, 2022, 7:29 pm

Well the Griptide was applied today. Not an easy task. I stepped in it and wore a lot. Taped it up and ripped off as much tape as I could where I could reach. Instructions said to take tape off when wet but nearly impossible. Pot time is 30 minutes and they are not kidding. At 23 minutes material began to thicken. I lost about a quart to passing pot time. Next batch I mixed half and that was close. Stepped away for 24 hours and will check tomorrow if I can get the tape off. Said light use after 24 hours 72 hour full cure. Pics to follow. jury is still out on this project. Did walk around a, bow, cockpit and swim platform. It is a bit whiter than the hull……..SO……….
