Limber Holes on 46MY

Postby wamonge » May 26th, 2023, 11:05 am

ON the 2005 46MY there must be limber holes below each engine for drainage to the center bilge pump. MY question is where are they?

Not sure on that model, but in a lot of applications they are towards the aft end of the compartment. This is (I think) so that when the boat is up on plane any water will run aft and drop through the limber holes and make its way to the centerline of the boat. On my last boat you could get water accumulated towards the front of a compartment and it would stay there unless you vacuumed it out or until the next cruise when you got up on plane.
