2004 Carver 350 Mariner | New to the Forum Here

Postby MirrorFinishPolishin » September 5th, 2025, 11:40 am

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum here and glad to be a part of it! I purchased a 2004 Carver 350 Mariner a while back and really liking this vessel! No major issues at all and getting really familiar with everything with the maintenance and such. BTW...not a drip of water in the engine room either, so really glad to see that! Engines and Transmissions are rock solid as well...I have never felt a single miss.

I do quite a bit of racing and have built higher hp cars, but the only thing about this Carver is that I can't just have this thing setting out in my garage to work on at my leisure. It seems that every time you do anything to this thing it is mandatory that you have to work in the smoldering heat and to sweat profusely until the maintenance is complete! :-D

Anyway, I am really loving this yacht and when I have questions about anything on Google this forum always comes up! :) Seems that people on here really know what they are talking about when it comes to Carvers and glad to be a part of this forum!

I have included several different types of photos below. Some are of just the Carver itself, some are just enjoying the lake and some photos are some of the work that I have done do it. I also included a video of when the Carver was out of the water for bottom paint, polishing and lighting. The video also shows launching the Carver back into the water as well.

Sunset Cruises are the best!

The bottom paint is getting done here, more polishing and underwater lighting as well.

I installed new Wet Sounds speakers along with the light rings. The light rings were a LOT of work going from the flybridge, through the engine room, through the salon, up to the helm and then to the front!

Underwater lights work great! Not the best picture here though since it was at night and we were moving

Yacht out of the water. Under paint being done along with all of the polishing to everything as well as lighting.

Wow, that anchor cleaned up nice!! The 'before' just looks like a cold-dipped galvanized anchor!! Surprised it cleaned up that nicely!! What did you have to do to bring back that shine?

Howdy neighbor! And welcome! I’m on the IL side but work in Springfield and Branson quite often. I also have a 2004 and would love my anchor to look like that. If I bring it to you, what would polishing like that run? Also, what engines do you have? 8.1’s?

Engines are Volvo Penta 5.7GXI's. They have plenty of power for this vessel, have not ever skipped a beat and they seem to do pretty well on mileage too as I am not stuck at the gas station all of the time. :) I am really loving this combination as it just seems to work very well!

I just did a couple more upgrades tonight and will post a few pictures soon. :)
