Hot Water Heater Leak

Postby Ssmullugan » November 12th, 2017, 1:00 pm

We have a 326 aft cabin (new to us) and having a plumbing issue. Heard a “pop” last night, then water pump is runni g continuously. No water pressure. Shut everything down. Found water around hot water heater and can hear a drip if we run the water pump for a minute. Carpeton floor in cabin is wet-below hot water heater. Sumps are all good.
Thoughts?

Welcome to the forum.......possible pressure relief valve on tank let go and maybe is now stuck open, hopefully you shut off the power to the heater quickly to save the element. If so easy fix.......good luck......

Thanks for the reply.... think we actually blew a hole in the water heater.... water seeping from bottom. Going to order a new one and install. Pretty easy access. We will keep posted in results
