I'm dumb...can't for the life of me find the raw water inlet cock for head on my 1985 3227. Anyone? Please?

It will be fairly close to the head, probably within 2-3 feet.
Carver is very good at hiding bilge openings...inside cabinets, under stairs, under berths, under carpeting, etc. Locate all openings, get a good flashlight and start looking. Most likely, it will be in the engine room.

Thanks for the reply. I can only trace the inlet hose to the starboard side, where it vanishes behind a panel of some sort...can't tell if it'll come off or not yet. BTW...the hose disappears going UP into the unknown...strange?
I looked in the engine room...nada...behind the vanity...nada. Why would a manufacturer hide a raw water inlet??? Seems kinda dangerous to me.

Do you have a single head, or two? I had two (not a 3227) and the inlet was in the engine compartment just forward of the port engine.

I have a single head starboard side midships...it's about 7 feet from the forward engine room bulkhead to the aft head bulkhead.

Again, look for hidden bilge openings

Usually the raw water intake thru hulls are fairly easy to find. Look in the engine compartment.
You should only have through hulls (out the bottom of the boat), one for each engine, one for the A/C, one for genny, if so equipped and one for the head(s). If you have the over board discharge option you would have through hull(s) for them also.

I'll take a look under that mattress...never occurred to me to check there!

I've located the engine and generator raw water intakes, (no AC) but not the one for the head. I'll take a look under that mid-berth mattress when I get home in a couple of days.
