Oil pressure question

Oil pressure question

One of our engines has a oil pressure of 80 running hot what maintenance would you recommend ???

I'll bet it is not 80psi but a faulty gauge or sender indicatingh 80.
Your mechanic can remove the sender and screw in a mechanical pressure gauge to verify oil pressure.

If in fact it is at 80, you must have a stuck relief valve and need to get that fixed. I've seen oil filters blown off of engines when a valve gets stuck.

And then usually something caused it to get stuck, metal, and it came from somewhere.
