I would go the drain plug route but my 3007 does not have a drain plug.

Found out the distributors both turned the same way in mine so I didn't have to change the gear. She sure started a lot easier with no points! Oh and make sure there is NO juice going to the distributor wire(s) when u hook them up. One small arc and u'll fry the electronic pick up in the distributor. I learned the hard way!
I am going to have them installed by the marina mechanic.

Re: Underwater lights opinions
Larry the new guy.
Just did our survey, think we found our boat.Just waiting for oil. Want to put lights. The drilling is not an issue other than hauling it out. Maybe when they paint. I could hook it up later. I assume I can wire up from the engine room to the steps to the helm. Looks like an access plate on the arch.
So the big question is how or where do you get power? Do I remove the fuse box or is there a buss of some sort?
I here people talk about a fused power supply pick up, where.
I was interested in cameras possibly to a tv ( rather than on my Furono nav net screen) . I saw a boat with 4 cameras showing on a 24”? I believe tv between the helm and lower cockpit.
New to power boating been a blow boater - just too damm old and on the Hudson River in NY
Thanks Larry
