84 days to go. Sure doesn't look like season near today. It is snowing, supposed to get 7" to 9" today. Might go for cocktails on CBTL this afternoon, after blowing snow out of driveway. 8-) er

We've had a couple of snows the past couple of weeks. In reality our winter has not been much of a winter so far. I am not predicting a launch date this year but as soon as possible I will launch.

82 days to go. We did get 9" of snow on Sunday. All cleaned up,... then the plow came through. I wonder if they just wait around the corner to make sure our driveways are dug out so they can fill up the ingress/egress pad again. Anyway, like Rick said. It has been a mild winter here also. Couple cold days coming up, but then back to the 30's. More good news, we have added 1 hour and 22 minutes of daylight since Dec. 22. We get about 3 min more every day. The lakes will not freeze over this season which is good. Maybe evaporation will help the water level stay below historic highs! Water temp at my marina is 36F degrees. I was at the boat yesterday. :beergood: Evidence of others being there over the weekend to start prep work. Good to just sit there and listen to NOAA weather and marine forecast. 1' to 3' waves yesterday. 8-) er

We are about 2/3rds of the way through winter. Here in S/E Michigan winter is not through with us yet. We have a snow event headed our way. Later tonight we can expect anywhere from 3 to 5 to 4 to 8 inches of the white stuff depending on which forecast one chooses to believe.

With our already high water levels the last thing we need is more snow. Anyway, like it or not winter is still here.

78 days to go! In just 4 days, it will be March! Then, just 21 days to Spring! Yes, I am losing it! At least the storm of which Rick mentions will miss us to the south. Water levels are going to be a challenge. We have a couple of marinas who have declared their strategy if the level increase forecast of 12 inches comes to fruition. Strategy includes turning off electrical service, which will really hurt the number of condo boaters we have in the area. The other issue will be stuff floating out from rivers and shore, like trees and other obstacles. Going to be an interesting season! 8-) er

It's snowing right now. The latest prediction for my area, 3 to 6 inches of the white stuff. When it stops we will know how accurate the prediction was. Over the past two days it has varied from 3 to 5 to 4 to 8.

It's 32C here, feels like 44 with a night time low of 28C. Water temps around 29C. I have no problems with this at all. :-D
