Hopefully so. Victoria Day weekend is the official opening of most marinas around our area including where I keep mine. There are still many challenges to overcome though. Sounds like you may be able to hit the water soon.

Well, the Ontario state of emergency extended to June now.....What this means for boaters is open for discussion, but around here marinas can put boats in, ( not many at all just yet from what we can see, normally at this time most of the covers are off in the yard, just the opposite now ) , you are not allowed in the marina until the order is lifted, boat is deemed to stay attached to the marina dockage....so in effect all that is accomplished is you have paid someone to do something that you the boater have no benefit of......hmmmm. With the weather of late it really has not made a difference, but the long range is starting to turn....

I hear there might be news from the marinas this week as to how safe access will be granted....

The virus numbers are not really dropping....we will see what happens two weeks after the long weekend coming up shortly.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Unfortunately this virus is not going away any time soon. All we can do is try to protect ourselves as much as we can. IMO boating is one of the safest activities we can do.

Premier of Ontario Doug Ford, is to make a big announcement today where he will proceed with his phase 1 reopening plan. I have been advise me that he will speak to opening up Golf Courses, Marinas and other businesses. A friend of mine spoke with some politicians in the Georgian Bay area who advised that boat owners should be allowed to attend marinas to work on, prep their boats and to put them in the water.

I am very optimistic and sit on the edge of my seat to hear what he has to say.

Fingers crossed.
