one benefit to having the alcohol type is that it inhibits growth. If you let PG sit long enough you'll see mold growing in it.

That being the case, it may not be a bad idea to do water lines with the Alcohol based stuff and the engines with the Glycol stuff. Always looking to save a dollar or 2. :-D

If you want to save some money, actually a lot ....blow all your lines , exchangers out etc first...there will be less total product used....shop vac works fine....drain fresh water tanks and leave open.....just takes a little longer but.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

I have no choice where I winterize some customers' boats. I do them where they lie and it's always apparent a couple of days later where the antifreeze went during the process. The grass comes back eventually but it just goes to show you that it does affect some biology.

Wal-Mart brand, Tech, is a mix of all three elements I found out today, the MSDS sheet listed all three too!

When you say all three elements, does it include alcohol? If it does, you shouldn't use it IMO.

As I mentioned earlier in my post, if it's got a flammable warning then it is the alcohol based stuff.
