Raymarine Auto Pilot

Postby Larcos » November 1st, 2020, 4:15 pm

I just bought a 2005 Carver41 CMY it does not have autopilot currently. I am looking at a Raymarine EV-200 Power Hydraulic Evolution Autopilot T7015 I am not sure that this will work with the boats Hydraulic steering . Has anyone had any experience with this system or has anyone installed any of the New Evolutions Autopilots by Raymarine that can give me a recommendation.

I am trying to stay with all Raymarine electronics.

Congrats and welcome aboard.

It'll help the guys if you post the models of your current system. The system you posted above is recent technology that won't directly hook up with older tech depending on what you have. You would need a converter such as the one in this link.... https://www.raymarine.com/view/index-id=400.html
If you currently have newer equipment, the system above will plug in without the converter.

I think the kit you mention above comes with a type 1 pump (for hydraulic steering) which I'm pretty sure is what you need for your application but a search through Raymarine's site will help determine that for sure.
