CARRVER 466 PARTS

Postby stephen165 » September 22nd, 2021, 8:53 pm

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has fiberglass swim platform parts from a salvage Carver 466 Motor Yacht. The factory no longer offers the platform and has destroyed the molds.
The swim platforms lower half is separated into three sections, A-Port B-Center C-Starboard. I am looking for the Port lower section. This section seams under the stainless trim on the swim platform rubrail and is held to the center section with screws and 5200. My section was damaged and lost at sea. Steve 973-261-0947

Welcome aboard Steve. You may want to search the web for marine salvage places. Try The Marine Connection in Fort Pierce Florida. If they don't have it, ask if they have any leads that may help. Hurricane prone areas are a good place to start as there's typically several vessels written off. These usually get scooped up by a salvage yard and either dismantled or sold as is.

A good fiberglass shop should be able to fabricate the section you need though it's usually a pretty expensive way to go, but you may not have a choice.

Good luck with your search and keep us posted.

Can't help with the parts, but I'd be interested in hearing the story on you lost it, if you want to elaborate!
