On mine both window panels slid, but I just slid the one window all the way open and pulled on the old stuff and it all slid out of the track. As I put the new stuff in place, I snapped about 8" in, slid that back, then did another 8", then slide that back and continued unit the end was all the way to the back of the track, then trimmed and snapped the rest in place up to the front of the track.

Honestly, the hardest part of the job was cleaning out the track once I got the old stuff out. I could not believe all the crap that was crusted underneath the old stuff. Once I got it clean it drained VERY nicely though. Putting the new pile in blocks most of the water from getting into the track and the remaining that does will run out the drains easily. I used to have issues with heavy rain where the track would overflow and leak inside the boat. NEVER happened once I cleaned the track and put the new pile in.

Thanks for that, it'll make it less of an ordeal in the coming months of repair and maintenance.

It's totally worth the effort. I could tell which side of my boat was finished by how much less noise and breeze was coming in on that side. Not hard, but tedious and dirty. At least mine was, so so so dirty

Does anyone know what size the pile weather-stripping is on a 1994 Carver Mariner 330?

I am looking to replace the "zipper piling" in the window tracks on my 1994 Mariner 330. Does anyone know the size to order?

Thanks. Different boat, but I guess I'll try that size.

Different boat but it snakes into the side channels and most of Taylor Mades windows use this particular stripping.
