On mine both window panels slid, but I just slid the one window all the way open and pulled on the old stuff and it all slid out of the track. As I put the new stuff in place, I snapped about 8" in, slid that back, then did another 8", then slide that back and continued unit the end was all the way to the back of the track, then trimmed and snapped the rest in place up to the front of the track.
Honestly, the hardest part of the job was cleaning out the track once I got the old stuff out. I could not believe all the crap that was crusted underneath the old stuff. Once I got it clean it drained VERY nicely though. Putting the new pile in blocks most of the water from getting into the track and the remaining that does will run out the drains easily. I used to have issues with heavy rain where the track would overflow and leak inside the boat. NEVER happened once I cleaned the track and put the new pile in.
