I'm in freshwater with a 97 405. I don't have any sacrificial anodes on my trim tabs. Where are you boating?

If you have a galvanic isolator, they're often mounted behind the breaker panel. It's not a requirement to have anodes on your tabs but it is an option. What do you currently have for anodes?

I boat in fresh water and I do have anodes on my trim tabs. They are mounted on the top side of the tab.

You should have 2 galvanic isolators, one for each shore power line, wired in the green ground....they are most likely behind the 120vac panel. Depends on where your boat is, we always had anodes on the tabs, the shafts and a divers dream on the transom.

Where do you boat ....fresh water or salt ?
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

On my 2001 356, it is located in the master birth behind the right head board, I do have zincs on my tabs and I am in freshwater.

I'm in fresh water and on my 2001 Carver 356 Aft Cabin, I have magnesium anodes on the shafts, tabs and hull.
Use zinc for salt water.
