halogen light replacement

Postby Agriman » August 23rd, 2023, 10:53 am

I want to switch to LED bulbs. My current bulbs are horizonal in the fixture and so must be short enough to fit. Can anyone suggest the correct bulb with the two pin insertion?

I believe you are referring to a G4 style bulb. Lots to choose from on Amazon. https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=g4+led&crid=CT0LN69B8HH0&sprefix=g4+led%2Caps%2C91&ref=nb_sb_noss_1

I bought the Kindeep brand from Amazon to replace the halogens in the puck lights on my 356. A pkg of 10 was less than $15, of course, that was 3 years ago. Anyway, they are just slightly brighter and way cooler than my halogens. Halogens can burn your skin…LED’s, not even close to the heat. I highly recommend them.

Edit…I just looked up the Kindeeps and they are $16.50 for a package of 10. Whatever you buy, I strongly suggest getting warm white, in the 2700-3000 color temperature range.

Thanks guys, I hope they are short enough to mount horizonal in my fixtures. I seen DICUNO brand on Amazon for $18.99 ca.
for a pkg of 10. They are returnable if need be. Wattage is 1.5 watts.

I’m guessing you have the same puck lights I have on my 2001 model. When I got my Kindeeps and looked at them, I was afraid they were too big, but they fit just fine.

Thanks to all, I have ordered the Kindeep G4. They gave a measurement that looks like they will fit.

I bought new fixtures and replaced them all form Walmart. They come in CW or WW. They look great and do not get hot at all. This link is qty 10 for $75 dollars by Dream-Lighting.
