Hey folks, thanks for the add.

Look g at my first carver. 2001 396 with the gas engines. Roughly 630hours on each motor.

Looking for any and all advice of things I should look for in particular on this boat.

I don’t have a 396, but I do have its little brother, a 2001, 356 with gas engines. What engines does it have, I’m guessing 7.4’s. That’s a lot of boat for gassers. Don’t expect a speed demon and fuel economy won ‘t be very economical unless you keep it to hull speed (about 8 knots) or less.
Anything specific you are looking to find out? Absolutely get a full pre purchase survey.
I wish my 356 had the engine room size of a 396. Mine is awfully tight and my 72 year body just doesn’t bend like it used to

I’m betting it’s actually the Volvo Penta 8.1’s in there and I have the same in my 366 and yah, it’s tight and also wish I had the extra room!
