Where can I find a replacement for my damaged swim ladder?

Hi All, I'm curious if anyone has attempted or has experience replacing the tanks in a 32' 1988 mariner. Right now the boat I believe is configured with a 15 gallon black holding tank below the galley floor. This spot is rather space limited, I measured the current tank at roughly 27.5"x14.5"x10.5" which seems to be a 15 gallon tank. According to the manual, I have (2) 35 gallon (I assume they're the same size) tanks totally 70 gallons below the floor in the salon. The 15 gallon tank I believe will be easy to taken out, not sure about the (2) other tanks but I'm assuming they can be slid around to get out, there's a big opening in the floor.

Here's my thoughts, the 15 gallon waste tank fills pretty fast from my raritan crown toilet and we're often at a marina so we don't really need 70 gallons of fresh water capacity (use the shore hose hookup). So I'm thinking replace those two 35 gallon tanks with roughly the same size, maybe a hair larger if I can, tanks since they are fairly old. That would then give me 35 gallons black & 35 gallons fresh. All new hoses as well, I think especially the waste ones have been leaching odors.

Is this crazy? Any other ideas for how to configure this? I'd likely be just abandoning the space where the current 15 gallon tank is. I'm losing half my water capacity but it's way easier to fill a water tank than it is to pump out a head.

I'm a new member here and at my wits end with an overheating issue. I could use a recommendation for a Crusader gas mechanic or any other input you have.

My 355 Aft Cabin with gas 454 Crusaders runs really well in the slip but overheats at 2800+ RPMs during sea trials. I have replaced/serviced the following:

Impellers (twice)
Heat exchangers (new)
Raw water pumps (rebuilt)
Fresh water pumps (new)
Risers serviced/cleaned
Thermostats (170)
Thru hulls (new) and checked the hull scoops

It runs fine @ 180 degrees until it's under a load and over 2800 RPM's. Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions or recommendations for a mechanic I can consult with. I'm certainly willing to pay a knowledgeable Crusader mechanic as I've had two deals fall through because of overheating.

Carver model 374 with cummins 330 hp diesel engines. What oil is used in transmission gear box. It smells like engine oil differently not gear oil [ 80w90 ]. I have checked through manual that came with the boat but doesn't mention grade of just that it needs to be checked. I would be grateful if someone on here could answer this question. Thanks

Dear CYO buddies, I am sorry to report I am boatless, Cooler By The Lake went to her new owner yesterday. For the 6th time over the last 3 years, a buyer approached me at the slip and asked if I would be willing to sell. Offered me a very fair price, all cash offer. That was 4 days ago. He came back Tuesday with a cashier's check and one condition. We take a short cruise as sea trial. We did that yesterday and he handed me the check. Sure wish Carver made a Center Console, but they never got into that market. Not sure if I am happy or sad. er

Hi all - just wanted to put this out there for any considering transiting the NJ ICW. It's not as bad as everyone seems to make it out!

To avoid hurricane season this year, we decided to head up the east coast (again) but with the goal of seeing the Statue of Liberty before heading back south for the winter. Once we made it to Cape May, NJ we had the option of continuing north "outside" via the Atlantic or going up through the NJ ICW.

When we got to Cape May the weather window for the Atlantic was non-existent for us - 6+ft waves and 10-15+mph wind for a week or more which would mean sitting around in Sunset Lake for a week or more waiting. Cape May is nice, but we've "done" that area before so we decided to do the ICW.

Everything we read and the youtube videos we watched were not very encouraging but with proper planning it seemed doable. We belong to SeaTow so I contacted all the captains along the route (Claude in Cape May, Sandy in Atlantic City, Walt in Barnegat Bay and Tim in Manasquan) for the local info, and planned to only travel on a mid-tide rising and stopping on or before the mid-tide falling.

The first day we made it to Ventnor City anchorage, day two was to Barnegat Inlet anchorage and day three was to Manasquan. Lots of no-wake zones so it kept the speed down, but we typically only travel 7-8mph so it wasn't a big deal to us.

Overall - it was a great trip! We never saw less than 6ft of water and that was rare. Mostly 7ft minimum and up. I will add that we were using Navionics and Aquamaps - and for this run the clear winner was Aquamaps. The relief shading and charted depths for the NJ ICW were spot-on! Also, be very careful using the Autoroute option in Navionics. It will put you on the wrong side of bouys and take you out of the charted ICW route in several areas. We followed the bouys, which matched perfectly with Aquamaps, and had zero issues. Not even any close calls!

One final note, there was a pretty consistent easterly/north eastern wind the entire trip which the SeaTow captains said was helping to push water into the ICW, and that a westerly wind would tend to push water out and cause lower levels. Just something to keep in mind.

Would we do it again? In a heartbeat! Lots to do and see along the way and places to dinghy to shore to provision and sight-see! Plus - NO 6+ft waves beaming us for hours!!

It was working fine for the four months or so that I have the boat and then all of a sudden one day just started splashing out of the bowl and onto the floor. I changed the Joker valve expecting that to correct the issue and it did not any ideas??

I have a Mariner 36.

I seem to have collected a lot of sea water below the floor boards due to a leak from the window in the toilet.

Although I can access the Central Area where the grey water tank is placed, I can’t access the area below the floor board on the port or sb side, mainly under the seats on either side. The boat seems to be very heavy and not performing due to additional weight.

Do you guys have any ideas on how I can access the area below the seats (port side) and the area below the basin (SB side) without removing the wooden flooring and drilling through the fiber moulding ? Photos attached with areas marked in red.
