Recommendations for Manual Oil Extractor Pump?

I bought one off Amazon and it turned out to be junk. Dasbet 9L. It would not maintain the vacuum and I had to constantly pump to extract the oil.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good extractor pump?

Pella and Mityvac are both good reliable brands. Have had both and still do, never had an issue. The Pella has to be 20 years old by now.

I do it for a living so speed is important for me and I find the manual pumps to be too slow. For that reason I prefer an electric system like the Jabsco (pail model), it extracts oil from an engine in a matter of a few minutes. I changed out the original hoses and clamps with better product, and replaced the pail with a regular 5 gallon one, with those mods it's the best for me. They're more expensive but I've done thousands of oil changes and it's still going strong, I think I've replaced the impeller once. I don't use the reverse function for emptying but it sure comes in handy when filling an engine with little clearance above the rocker cover to get a jug of oil in there, and it's way easier for filling large diesel engines.

Pela the larger one, 14l will do both engines, still have it .....lasted for years now, if you are not in a hurry these are great....can be used anywhere as well as they are manual/vacuum ( no wires, clips, pumps, impellers, batteries etc ), think past the boat,..... lawn mowers, tractors cars etc.

This has 3/8 ID hoses that fit right over my dipstick tubes, and I pump oil out of my twin 454's into a 5 gal. bucket. Takes about 10 minutes total to do both engines, Discard the little pump, and the filters, into a drawstring plastic bag, put the lid on the bucket (add the genset oil if appropriate) and take it to the disposal site. No muss, no fuss, no spills

Then when you go to Walmart for your Rotella 15w-40 & filters the next fall, just pick up a new pump and you're good to go!!
