View the latest post Radar Fuses

I am having a problem figuring out what type of fuse and where to get them. The radar system is a Raytheon R21xx when the arch was taken down for transport they cut the wires and blew the fuses. we had a guy come and look to see why it didn't work after reinstall he says oh, you need sum new fuses. Ok fine. I will get them next time out, well turns out regular fuses will not fit hole. Now I cant find the originals, guy that looked at it said he gave them to me ect., ect.. So, hoping one of yall has the same system or knows what kind or where I can get some. Yes I did call Raytheon guy Mike, said, they don't have any, and to try to match them with the old ones at Radio Shack. Back to same problem. Need help.?!

Curious to know if running the genny while at cruising speed is ok. We do not anchor out and would like to run the genny to keep it in running condition. If I run it at our dock location is it wise to unplug the shore power to put a load on the genny? Could I run it with the boat plugged in?
Thanks for your suggestions.

I have 3 a/c units. Are there 3 water streams exiting the boat? Or is there just 1?

View the latest post Very strange hot water issue

We have an 11 gallon Seaward S-1200 hot water heater.

We just spent our first weekend of the season on-board and on Sunday when I was doing the dishes I noticed that the water was just lukewarm. I turned on just the hot water faucet and the water was warmish with discernible bursts of cold water mixed in.

I then went to the head and tried the hot water faucet there. I let it run for quite a while and the water was not as cold as it was from the cold water tap but it wasn't what you would call warm.

I thought that maybe my husband had used a bunch of hot water before me so I left it for an hour and then went back and ran the galley faucet and then the head faucet with the same results.

Now the strange part. For some reason I decided to experiment by turning on the hot water faucet in the head while running the hot water faucet in the galley. Boom, super hot, scalding water starts flowing in the galley. Cold water coming out of the hot water faucet in the head.

The faucet in the galley is within 2 feet of the water heater. The faucet in the head is a good 10 feet or so.

Clearly the heat element is working because the water that comes out of galley faucet when the head faucet is turned on would give you 3rd degree burns.

Scratching my head over this one. :help:

View the latest post Attachment(s) Bottom paint - How often

Hello
We have a 2002 450 Carver that has always been in fresh water. How often should the boat be pulled for a bottom paint job? and for a buff and wax?
Thank you

Can't see a name on this anywhere and the gears/motor AND bulb are fried on the searchlight for my 1990 3807. I looked online for new but these suckers aren't cheap so I hate toss this one without investigating. Any ideas who made these? Are they repairable?

Hi all. I'm new to this forum and looking for a v-drive transmission for my 2003 Carver Mariner 350. Power is Mercruiser 6.2MPI. Looking for port side velvet drive (I believe counter-rotating) model 10-05-004.

Thank-you

View the latest post Swim platform repair

Last season I had to replace and relocate the swim platform end of the davits from my dinghy. This left behind holes (which I filled) and residual adhesive. My buddy that helped me with the job figured that the leftover adhesive would be 3M 4200 or 5200. This year I want to clean this up as best as I can. I have read that some patience and acetone or denatured alcohol might soften this stuff up to be able to remove it.

Your opinions and suggestions as always are welcome

Thanks
Fraser
