View the latest post Barnacle Buster

Hi all,
Wondered if anybody else ever used Barnacle Buster in their mechanical's? I ran a gallon into my Westerbeke through the sea strainer and had good results. It cleared the glass removed the green and the crustations in short order. I let it sit in the water pathways for about 4 hours before flushing it out. What came out of the raw water exhaust was evidence that it did its job. I could actually hear the effervescence going on within the engine during the process. I took a great video of it and you can hear it working but the video is HD and the site won't upload it because of the size I guess. I plan to use it in my A/C coils and the motors next.

View the latest post Pair of 3 Blade Props a L&R 18X20x1.25

I have a pair of brass 3 blade props, a left and a right if any one is interested. I would like $ 400.00 for the pair plus shipping if anybody is interested. I will double check all specs before finalizing the sale. If I can remember where I stored them, I'll get some pictures of them and post then here.

View the latest post Attachment(s) Uncovered and ready for survey work!

Starboard 03 13 2016.JPG
It may be only March 12, but HOLODECK is all uncovered and the canvas is up. I spoke to the boat yard in Maine and they said it was the time to start getting this done. They wanted $8.50/ft to uncover (43') so I took on the task myself. Took about 1.5 hours. I have a truck so hauling the wrap away was no issue. Also, since I am "low man" on the list to get any work done (still have repair work to be done out of escrow from the survey) the yard manager said once she was uncovered, it may get her a spot closer to the top of the list, as nothing else is uncovered as of yet. I will be going back up next weekend to replace the zincs and paint the bottom. Lastly, no hull oxidation, so just a coat of PFTE wax. She already shines like heck in the sun. I also lucked out as the canvas I just found out is only a year old!

View the latest post Carver 390 CMY transport

Hi, I am new to the forum. Looking to purchase a 94 Carver 390 CMY. Boat location makes it almost impossible to travel any waterway to my home of Rock Island , IL. Looking for information to breakdown the boat for lowboy transportation. Has anyone been through this? What height does the boat breakdown to with just the radar arch and hardtop removed? Will it require more? Possibly front windshield and top helm station? If so, what height does that take it to? Boat is currently in the water so very difficult to get proper measurements. I have not been able to locate any spec sheet that will help me with measurements. Any help with this matter, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you !

View the latest post FUEL FILTER LOCATION

We need to know were the fuel filters are located for the 7.4/454 mpi engines on a carver 380 santego. She has been setting up for about a year and we would like to know the location before any problem might arise. First voyage is to be 60 miles on fairly fast flowing river 3 to 6 mph spring flow upriver, and even faster as you approach dams w 8 to 10 flood gates open. Not good if engines stall. :-O

View the latest post Attachment(s) Install undrwater Drain Plug Light, 1998 355MY

Trying to fish from the drain plug back into the boat so I can wire in this underwater LED drain plug light. I can not seem to access from the aft cabin, any point where I can see the fish wire. It's like there's another level below everything I can see from all of the aft cabin access panels. I can see the aft bilge pump and float, the ruder control arm and the starboard ruder stuffing box and it appears I should be in the right area, but no fish wire? Going to go back with my flexible scope and look into he drain hole and see if I can see anything remotely familiar. Thought maybe someone's been that far down in the boat the\at they may have idea why I can't seem to find the fish. Come to think of it how would one get to the trim tabs at the back of the boat if they needed to be replaced? Is there an access point I'm missing?
